In Sudan, clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces continue for the second day in a row, with no signs of calm despite international calls, with more than 57 civilian casualties and militants on both sides killed and 595 injured. On the ground, the Rapid Support Forces reported on their Facebook account that their forces in Port Sudan had been attacked by “foreign aircraft”.
Late Saturday, the Sudanese army carried out strikes against Rapid Support Force camps near the capital Khartoum. The army bombed a Rapid Support Force camp in Omdurman late Saturday night, according to eyewitnesses cited by Reuters.
The death toll from ongoing clashes in Sudan between the regular army and paramilitaries has risen to 56 civilians, the Doctors’ Syndicate said.
The syndicate reported that “the total number of civilian deaths has reached 56” and spoke of “dozens of deaths” among the security forces, but they are not included in these statistics.
