Sudan’s Central Committee of Doctors announced on Monday that a number of hospitals have been completely put out of action due to shelling from artillery and firearms. and Bashayer Hospital due to clashes and mutual shelling between the armed forces and “operational support” forces in the vicinity.
Some Sudanese are still in hospitals without electricity or water, while other patients in need of medical attention are being evacuated as fighting continues into its fourth day.
According to the committee, as a result of the bombing, the Teaching People hospital and the Khartoum Teachings hospital were completely disabled, leaving the medical staff, patients, children and their companions in confusion and fear.
She pointed out that this shelling is a clear violation of international humanitarian law and charters providing for the protection of medical institutions and neutralizing them from shelling, pointing out that yesterday the “police” hospital was evacuated, and now it is completely disabled. , and the Daman hospital in Al Obeid city was closed after it was stormed by military forces.
The committee said Bahri International Hospital was suffering from power outages and generators running out of fuel, putting patients in intensive care and operations at risk of death.
And he called on the international community to oblige the parties to the conflict not to harm medical facilities, open safe corridors and let ambulances through, appealing to humanitarian organizations to lend a helping hand and take urgent measures to help evacuate the wounded. and provide intravenous fluids, blood bags and medical care.
In addition, the Vice President of the Sudanese Doctors’ Syndicate said in press statements that the Best Care Hospital will evacuate patients when the generators run out of fuel, and the Sudanese Human Rights Commission called for the protection of medical facilities and the provision of medicines.
