The World Health Organization announced that 6 additional laboratory-confirmed cases of Marburg virus infection were reported in Equatorial Guinea, bringing the total number of infections to 15. The organization said in a statement that among the confirmed cases, 11 deaths, while all possible cases infections have died.Indicating that the most affected areas is the province of Littoral.
WHO confirmed its support to the Guinean Ministry of Health in efforts to strengthen various response centers including surveillance, laboratories, case management, infection prevention and control, and risk communication.
