Today, the Government of Mali announced the assassination of the Director of the Office of the Interim President of Mali. Omar Traore and three others in ambush. The government added in a statement that the ambush had been set for them in the rural Nara region of Koulikoro County in the country’s southwest, without specifying either the time of the attack or the party responsible.
The statement indicated that another person, the driver who was traveling with the delegation, was missing.
