Yesterday, the Aniohos 2023 exercise began at the Andra Vida air base in the Hellenic Republic with the participation of the Royal Saudi Air Force and the forces of a number of fraternal and friendly countries, as Saudi Arabia said. The Air Force participated in the F-15SA aviation system.
The commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force team involved in the exercise, Lt. Col. Lieutenant Colonel Khawaji stated that the exercise was aimed at improving the combat readiness of the Royal Saudi Air Force, as well as strengthening the bonds of operational relations between our air force and the participating air forces, pointing out that the exercise included anti-aircraft operations of both types, defensive and offensive which are carried out against the enemy air force, represented by aviation and air defense systems. both operations of close air support for ground forces, and the detection and destruction of enemy radar stations.
He stated that the participation of the air forces of several countries in the exercise helps to work out scenarios very similar to what can happen on the ground, and also allows aircrews to communicate with the aircrews of participating countries, which gives everyone practical experience. which contributes to the fulfillment of the tasks in full.
