The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today the evacuation of 1,140 Egyptian citizens from Sudan, including 443 citizens by ground evacuation and 697 citizens by air evacuation, in coordination with the Sudanese authorities, bringing the number of Egyptians who have been evacuated so far to 2679 people. Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ambassador Ahmed said Abu Zeid said today that Egyptian consulates in Sudan are continuing their efforts to evacuate Egyptian citizens.
It is noteworthy that yesterday the Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced the evacuation of 635 Egyptian citizens by land and air.
