2,639 Egyptians Evacuated from Sudan by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs today announced the evacuation of 2,639 Egyptian citizens from Sudan, including 1,356 by land and 1,283 by air, bringing the number of Egyptians who have been evacuated so far to 5,327. Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid confirmed in a statement that the implementation of the evacuation plan for Egyptian citizens in Sudan is well under way, indicating that the Egyptian armed forces have provided food and first aid to more than 1,000 Egyptian citizens who are expected to be evacuated in ongoing operations to air evacuation.
