His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council, held an official negotiating session with Saleh Gougil, Speaker of the National Assembly of Algeria, during his official visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, at the head of the Shura Council’s delegation, in response to the official invitation of the Speaker of the Shura Council During the talks, the Speaker of the Shura Council expressed satisfaction with the visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, expressing gratitude to the Chairman of the National Assembly for the kind invitation and warm welcome, expressing the desire to strengthen bilateral relations between the two fraternal countries in various fields, especially parliamentarism between the Shura Council and the National Assembly of Algeria, emphasizing the importance of increasing the level of coordination between the two chambers in all international and regional parliamentary forums. His Excellency highly appreciated the position of the Algerian Democratic Republic of Algeria in all fields and its strong pride in Arabism and Islam. During the talks, His Excellency referred to the great movement taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the fruitful economic transformation and the constant revival in all areas.
For his part, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Algeria welcomed during the talks the Speaker of the Shura Council and the delegation accompanying him on a visit to Algiers, emphasizing the depth and history of Algerian-Saudi relations, appreciating the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Algerian government and people in various circumstances and over the years has been looking forward to the simultaneous strengthening of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, especially in parliamentary ones.
He highly appreciated the principled and constant position of the Kingdom on various international and regional issues, highly appreciated its international efforts to establish international peace and security and its wise decisions.
During the talks, they discussed many issues of mutual interest, including those related to parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Algerian National Assembly, which will strengthen bilateral relations between the two fraternal countries.
The discussion session was attended by an official delegation, accompanied by His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council, members of the Council: Dr. Hassan bin Hijab Al-Khazmi, Dr. Faisal bin Ali Tomaihi, Muhammad bin Saad Al-Faraj, Ambassador Custodian of the two holy mosques in Algiers Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Busayri and a number of Shura Council officials.
