Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool striker, has praised the ability of his Dutch counterpart Cody Jacobo, pointing out that he is somewhat similar to Brazilian star Roberto Firmino, who will leave the Reds at the end of the season. .

Salah said in statements released by Britain’s Liverpool Echo network: “Jacopo is somewhat similar to Roberto Firmino. He likes to fall back and sometimes plays in the 8th position (forward midfielder).”

He added: “He knows how to play football. That’s for sure. I’m not worried if he doesn’t hit the net. As long as the team is winning, Jakpo will still be scoring goals.”

The Egyptian star revealed: “I always talk to Jacobo. He is smart and wants to learn. I always tell him not to listen to any criticism, just play with your style. Don’t worry about what people say because sometimes you don’t score much, so my advice to you.”

He continued: “I just tell him to play football in his style, relax and enjoy his role in the team.”

Mohamed Salah touched on his relationship with Firmino, who will be leaving Anfield at the end of the season, saying: “We’ve been together for 6 years… We’ve had a lot of good moments on and off the pitch. he sits next to me so most of the matches we talk and play together.”

He continued: “It’s touching for me to talk about him emotionally. All I want is for him and his family to be happy.. He was a really important player for us, he gave everything he had for the club, he always tried be humble and work hard, and that’s what he always does.”

Mohamed Salah concluded: “Firmino was very important and he is a really good person. He played a big part… I don’t want to get too emotional. I just wish him all the best for the future.”
