The League of Arab States Calls on the UN Security Council to Fulfill Its Responsibilities for International Peace and Security
The League of Arab States has called on the United Nations Security Council to take responsibility for international peace and security by obliging Israel to completely withdraw from all Palestinian and Arab territories occupied since June 5, 1967. The League also stressed the importance of international protection for the Palestinian people and territories.

On the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the Israeli aggression on Palestinian and Arab lands in 1967, the international community has called for Israeli officials to be held accountable for all crimes committed against the Palestinian people. The establishment of an independent Palestinian state, modeled on June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, is seen as the only way to achieve security, peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
Palestinian, Arab, and International Efforts to Establish Palestinian Rights
The League of Arab States emphasized the importance of continuing and intensifying Palestinian, Arab, and international political and legal efforts to protect and establish the rights of Palestinians, especially in the International Court of Justice.
Mourning the Loss of Innocent Lives
In recent news, hundreds of Palestinians attended the funeral of three-year-old Muhammad Haytham al-Tamimi, who was shot dead by Israeli forces at the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh in the occupied West Bank. Additionally, Palestinians mourned the body of a child who died from wounds received when the Israeli army fired on his father’s car in the village of Nabi Saleh, north of Ramallah.
A Mother’s Grief
Marwa Al-Tamimi, the mother of the child who died from the Israeli army’s gunfire, wept as she hugged him for the last time. She recounted the events leading up to her son’s death, stating that her husband had gone out to drive the car and was shot by occupation soldiers when he turned on the light. The child was taken to Israel’s Sheba Hospital, where he died on Monday. Al-Tamimi was the youngest Palestinian to be killed by Israeli army bullets this year.
