Istanbul governorate warned against a new vague of snowfall for the city that struggled with sporadic rainfall since Wednesday. Governor Ali Yerlikaya said in A declaration on Sunday that snowfall would carry down on the asian side and in districts near the Bosphorus between noon and 3 p.m. local time.
the city is main the Bosphorus waterway was also closed from 11:20 a.m. local time due to inclement weather weather. The Bosphorus was first shut down on Thursday in low visibility. On Fridays, ferry services operating between two sides of the waterway were also canceled. The waterway is a crossing point for ships traveling from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea and vice versa and the busiest along with Dardanelles Strait to the southwest.
Snowfall reduce son intensity between afternoon and evening and will be even more reduced to slightly cloudy weather on Sunday evening according to latest forecast. The snowfall, which started on Wednesday in the cityshould shut down by Monday.
