The protagonist of Fingernails is a lady named Anna, who is currently in what she calls a “certified love relationship” with her long-term partner Ryan. Nevertheless, Anna has a sneaking suspicion that her relationship with Ryan is not genuine, even though the computer has determined that they are a perfect match for one another. As a result, Anna decides to work at the enigmatic Love Institute as an assistant to one of the instructors. She does this because she has a deep-seated desire to finally put all of her uncertainties to rest.
