The Spanish heavyweight Barcelona has reached an agreement with Spotify who will make the venue in Sweden music streaming giant the club’S main sponsor.
Under the partnership, Barca will carry the music name of the streaming platform on the jerseys and its stadium will be renamed “Spotify Camp Nou”, in the first example of the club adding a sponsor’s name to the title, Spotify said Tuesday.
The financial terms of the deal was not disclosed, but a report from the Catalan radio station Rac1 last month set the sponsorship deal value at 280 million euros (306.49 million dollars).
Spotify did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the deal terms.
From 1 July the name of Spotify will appear on the front of both men’sand women’S team training shirts and uniforms of Barcelona in the 2022/23 season e for the next four Seasons.
The companies also plan for use the stadium to promote the work of musical artists at the television audience club.
