In Quantum Error, you find yourself in a dystopian future where the United Nations of America has integrated advanced artificial intelligence (A.I.) into everyday life. The most powerful tech company in the world, Monad, has created ARGUS (Advanced Retinal Global Unity System), an A.I. that is mandatory for all individuals on Earth. However, this integration has caused division among people, leading to opposition and the formation of militant groups.
The story takes place in the year 2109 at the Monad Quantum Research Facility, located 30 miles off the shore of CA. The facility comes under attack from an unknown entity, resulting in a devastating fire and a full containment lock-down. A distress call is sent out to the Garboa Fire Department in San Francisco, CA, and Fire Chief Sturgis calls upon you, Captain Jacob Thomas, along with your partner Shane Costa and a crew, to respond to the emergency.
What initially seems like a simple mission to save lives soon turns into a nightmarish cosmic journey.
