Daniil Bezsonov, Intelligence Officer of the Donetsk People’s Republic, said that the Russian Armed Forces and Donetsk People’s Forces liberated about half of the Mariupol region.
“The Russian armed forces and the Donetsk People’s Forces liberated about half of the Mariupol region. The Ukrainian side suffers heavy losses in Mariupol,” he added, noting that the people’s forces also suffered some casualties.
Bezsonov drew attention to the attempts of the Ukrainian ultra-nationalist militants in Mariupol to leave the city, disguised as the civilian population.
Last Sunday, the Center for the National Defense Administration of Russia announced that Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries were allowed to disarm Mariupol.
