The local government of the Chinese city of Shanghai said on Tuesday that the Chinese financial center recorded 52 new deaths among those infected with COVID-19 on Monday, compared with 51 days earlier.
The city also recorded 15,319 new local cases of the Corona virus without symptoms, compared to 16,983 the previous day.
The number of confirmed cases with symptoms reached 1,661, up from 2,472 a day earlier.
Shanghai is currently experiencing China’s largest COVID-19 outbreak ever.
