A few weeks ago, the “new” Twitter (in the era of Elon Musk) introduced a formula enriched with Twitter Blue subscriptions. The new formula is offered for $8 per month, giving you access to a variety of benefits, including valuable certification. A blue icon, absolutely identical to the one displayed next to individuals and other organizations, with the only difference being that it is displayed when on clicks on the icon in question, Twitter then shows if the account is certified due to son a “known” party, or if it’s a paid certification.

Elon Musk delays (re-)deployment of Twitter Blue

A new system that (very) quickly led to serious abuse, with the proliferation of fake certified accounts and fake news. Soon, Twitter made the decision to suspend the new Blue formula, with its relaunch scheduled for November 29th. But new grand The Twitter manitou, Elon Musk, has decided otherwise, and Twitter Blue is permanently suspended until further notice.

We already know that the new Twitter Blue formula will require accounts to be active for at least 90 days to qualify for certification, but Elon Musk wants to improve the system even further. The latter indicates, in particular, that the program “is likely to be painted in a different color for organizations and individuals.” For many users, this will not solve the problem of identity theft, which is actually due to the fact that one badge is used for official and paid certification. There are already many solutions that would allow Twitter to more clearly and at first glance distinguish a certified (or insecure) account from a Twitter Blue account. It is enough, for example, to refuse a certification badge in several colors … © Capture Twitter At present, it seems that this decision (like many others) has not yet won sympathy in the eyes of Elon Musk. For several days now, Twitter has been rolling out a second “official” verification badge, which is automatically placed under the certified account’s profile name. This applies only to organizations and companies, and no one knows if this extra marshmallow will also be given to individuals. A little more patience to discover the new Twitter Blue formula, but there is no doubt that things should still change on the side of the Blue Bird platform in the coming days. To see if it’s for better or for worse…
