More than a thousand people were arrested at rallies in Moscow after Putin’s decision

At least 1,026 people were arrested Wednesday in Russia during nationwide protests against President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of a partial mobilization of civilians to fight in Ukraine, the NGO said.

OVD-info reported that demonstrations took place in at least 38 Russian cities, the biggest protest since Moscow’s decision to send soldiers to Ukraine in February followed.
