NATO is committed to solidarity with Ukraine in the middle of Russia invasion

NATO countries promised full solidarity with democracy elected President, parliament and government of Ukraine after an extraordinary meeting on Friday.

“In light of actions of Russia, we will draw all the necessary consequences for NATO deterrence, defense posture,” said a statement released after the meeting.

NATO leaders have said they are deploying more troops in Eastern Europe after theinvasion of Ukraine by Russia, claiming that Moscow lied about son intentions.

“No one should be fooled by the russian governmentle barrage of lies,” said the 30 leaders in a joint statement after a virtual summit chaired by Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“We are now carrying out significant additional work defensive deployments of forces in the east of alliance,” the statement said, without giving more details.
