The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today the evacuation of 1,072 Egyptian citizens from Sudan, including 454 by land and 618 by air, bringing the total number of Egyptians who have been evacuated so far to 6,399. Foreign Minister, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zayed, said in a statement today. Continuing the implementation of the plan for the evacuation of Egyptian citizens in Sudan, indicating that the Egyptian armed forces flew 4 sorties today, bringing the total number of sorties that were flown to 27.
It is noteworthy that yesterday the Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced the evacuation of 2,648 Egyptian citizens.
