On Wednesday, the Yemeni army said Houthi militias committed 170 UN ceasefire violations and wounded 21 soldiers in two days.
A statement released by the Yemeni Army Media Center says Iran-backed Houthi militias committed 170 violations of the UN truce on Monday and Tuesday (June 6-7) on the fighting fronts in the governorates of Marib, Hajja, Hodeidah, Taiz and Al-Dali .
He stressed that as a result of violations by the Houthis, 21 members of the National Army forces were injured by sniper bullets, drone traps and artillery shells, of which 8 were wounded on Monday and 13 on Tuesday.
He explained that the violations were distributed among 47 breakthroughs on the fronts of the Taiz direction, 43 breakthroughs on the Hayes direction, south of Hodeidah, 37 breakthroughs on the Hajj direction, 22 breakthroughs on the Al-Bara direction, west of Taiz, 19 breakthroughs on the Al-Bara direction, 19 gaps on the fighting front south and west of Marib and two gaps on the Maris front in the direction of Al-Dali.
The statement indicated that the Houthis’ violations ranged from infiltration attempts, direct fire from heavy and medium weapons, the creation of sites, the construction of roads, and the use of artillery and bullets.
The Houthi violations also included the recruitment of human reinforcements and military equipment, including tanks, as well as the deployment of reconnaissance aircraft on various fronts.
