At least 19 people were killed and dozens injured when a bus crashed into a ditch in Chebshara, central Bangladesh. Chebshara police officer Anwar Hussain said the death toll could rise given the condition of some of the injured is critical, as like Chebshar, where the accident occurred, is located about 80 km from the capital Dhaka.
Hussein added that the bus, which carried more than 40 passengers, fell from a height of about nine meters into a hole on the side of the road after it broke through the wall of a newly built bridge on the highway passing through Padma. River.
He pointed out that the driver who died in the accident apparently lost control of the bus after one of his tires exploded, adding that an investigation was underway to find out the cause of the accident.
