Nigeria’s Federal Highway Traffic Safety Agency said on Tuesday that twenty people, including children, were burned to death after a public van collided with a car on a highway in the north of the country.
“The accident happened due to speeding. The driver was injured, 20 people were killed and burned to the ground, ”the ministry said in a statement.
Many roads in Africa’s most populous country are in poor condition, resulting in accidents that claim dozens of lives every year.
