Cyclone Mandus hit Sri Lanka today, killing three people and injuring 19 others.
Sri Lanka’s Disaster Management Center said today that three people have died and more than 21,000 have been affected by bad weather caused by Cyclone Mandos, noting that 5,639 homes have been damaged across the country.
The center added that the impact of Mandos had decreased significantly, but still asked the people of Sri Lanka to take precautions.
In 2017, the monsoon rains that hit Sri Lanka in mid-May caused severe flooding and landslides in several parts of the country, killing more than 200 people and forcing thousands to flee their homes.
