The prosecutor’s office said in a statement posted on its official Facebook page that it received “in connection with the dissemination of a (video) clip, a report on the results of a police investigation that identified the three accused in the incident. .”
The statement said: “One of them filmed the second singing and dancing inside the mosque, while the third broadcast the video clip on social media.” He added that the defendants “intentioned to provoke the ire of the citizens and mislead the weakness of the security services in fulfilling their role (…) and, accordingly, the prosecutor’s office ordered the detention of the accused in pre-trial detention.”
According to the prosecution, one of the defendants admitted that it was he who appeared on the video, explaining that “his intention was to have fun. He said that one of the other defendants obtained this video clip surreptitiously from his phone.” without his knowledge, and then broadcast it on a social network.” The statement did not list specific charges against the three detainees.
