An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred northeast of the Egyptian city of Aswan. The Egyptian National Institute of Astronomical and Geophysical Research said today in a statement that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 km and 45 km northeast of Aswan, which indicates that this did not result in any loss, human or material.
