An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit the Maluku province in eastern Indonesia.
The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics said in a statement that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 16 km from the city of Masukhi in the province, at a depth of 40 km.
There have been no reports of material or human losses as a result of the earthquake yet.
