After the historic advance of the Moroccan national team to the second round of the World Cup competition, thousands of fans came to Qatar to join the fans of the Maghreb who supported the Atlas Lions in the group stage. Many fans were surprised by the lack of tickets for Tuesday’s game against La Roja after they were completely sold out before the tournament even started, while some of the fans who had previously purchased them took advantage of the black market to resell them for double the price. According to a number of Moroccan fans, many Qatari residents are offering to sell match tickets for more than $1,000 after buying them ahead of the World Cup at a much lower price.

During the first round matches, in which Morocco faced Croatia, Belgium and Canada, the Moroccan fans in the stands were admired for their strong support and continued support of the players throughout the three phases of the matches. The FIFA website celebrated the Moroccan fans and called them “player number 1, not 12” in the historic achievement of the Moroccan national team, qualifying for the final price round for the first time in 36 years.

The federation added in an article published on its official website that “they say that the fans are the number 12 player in football, but the Moroccan fans, who have been in the stands of Qatari stadiums by the thousands during Atlas Lions matches, are the number one player in this historic achievement” . He added that the Moroccan public made a big contribution to this “great” achievement and that he was the number one player, not 12, adding that he was never silent during the 280 minutes of the group stage, and his roar terrified opponents and spread the enthusiasm and spirit in the hearts of Atlas Lions. The fans have won the admiration of the visitors in Doha and it is very reliable during the next match against Spain in the 1/8 finals of this international tournament.

In connection with the qualification of the Moroccan national team, Royal Air Maroc has developed a new flight program and ticketing system so that Moroccan fans can support Atlas Lions during their next match next Tuesday in Doha. The Moroccan company said in a statement that “Royal Air Maroc, as the official carrier of Atlas Lions, congratulates the national football team on this achievement”, noting that it “mobilized its human and technical resources to launch an exceptional program, in the best conditions, in line with with the aspirations of the fans of the national team. Morocco topped the Group F standings with 7 points ahead of Croatia with 5 points, Belgium with 4 points and Canada who were eliminated without points. On Tuesday, the Moroccan national team will meet their Spanish counterpart at the Education City stadium in Doha.
