7 killed while returning prisoners in Mexico

Mexican authorities have announced the deaths of seven people during a police operation aimed at capturing prisoners who escaped after an attack on a prison in Ciudad Juarez in northern Mexico. Security Minister Rosa Isila Rodriguez said the leader of a gang linked to the Juarez drug cartel, known as “El Nito”, was among the prisoners who managed to escape, bringing the death toll from the attack on the prison to 27 in two days.
