Jazan will host the West Asian Beach Soccer Championship from May 18-23, which will feature 7 teams: UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Palestine and Lebanon, in addition to the host national team.
On April 26, the draw of the tournament took place, in which the national team entered the second group with the teams of Bahrain and Palestine, and the teams of the Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Lebanon entered the first group. The start of the competition is scheduled for next Wednesday with 3 confrontations between our team and Palestine, while the Emirates will meet with Oman and Kuwait with Lebanon.
The national teams of Oman and Kuwait will open the matches of the second round, in which they will play the confrontation between Bahrain and Palestine and Lebanon against the Emirates.
In the third and final round of the group stage, the Emirates will play against Kuwait, Bahrain against Palestine and our team against Bahrain.
The Football Association completed the preparation of Jazan Beach Stadium in cooperation with the Emirate of Jazan Region within 4 days, with a capacity of 2210 fans, as the stadium is located north of the North Corniche.
It has also been decided that admission to the matches of the tournament will be free for individuals and families with a number of folklore activities and entertainment shows. Notably, the Kingdom has recently hosted a number of tournaments held under the auspices of the West Asian Federation, which are the West Asia Union Cup for youth up to 23 years old and West Asia Union Cup for juniors under 17 years old.
