Hafez explained in an interview with Al Jadid that “two days ago I went to the bank manager and asked him to give me some money and he told me he would give me $200 at the rate of 12,000 Lebanese pounds. (The rate on the black market yesterday touched 37 thousand pounds for one dollar).
She said, “I went as far as selling my kidneys to cure my sister,” emphasizing that “we worked hard to get every thousand of the $20,000.”
She added, “My sister needs $50,000 to continue her treatment and we sold our house to get the money,” emphasizing that “the gun you used to break into the bank came from one of my nephew’s toys and it not real”.
