A high-level delegation of the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will travel to Washington, DC to discuss many issues and topics of mutual interest on May 23 and 24, 2022, at the invitation of the US Department of State.
Discussions include political issues that the delegation will discuss with the US side, including the situation in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, issues related to the fight against terrorism, extremism and Islamophobia, as well as the situation of Muslim groups and societies in countries outside the OIC. countries, in addition to social issues, primarily women’s empowerment, and cultural issues, human rights, cooperation between the two sides in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, food security and climate issues.
