Bahrain welcomed the announcement by the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, to extend the truce period in Yemen for another two months, in accordance with the terms of the main agreement that came into force last April.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain commended the efforts of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General, as well as the reaction of the leadership of the Arab Coalition for the Rule of Law and the Yemeni parties, to his efforts to extend the truce in the context of the initiative announced by the Kingdom in March 2021 AD to end the Yemeni crisis through a comprehensive peace settlement.
