U.S. President Joe Biden warned that U.S. inflation could continue “for some time” after data on Friday showed politically sensitive price pressures have unexpectedly accelerated in recent weeks.
“We will live with this inflation for a while,” Biden said at a Democratic fundraiser in Beverly Hills.
“It will gradually decrease, but we will live with it for a while.”
The cautious comments came at an event hosted by billionaire media mogul Haim Saban as the administration faces mounting pressure ahead of the Nov. 8 midterm elections, with Biden’s control of Congress at stake.
