English Premier League club Chelsea announced on Wednesday its parting ways with German coach Thomas Tuchel following a 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea, the club would like to formally thank Thomas and the staff for all their efforts while working at the club,” the club said in a statement. Tuchel coached Chelsea early last year and led them to victory in the 2020-21 Champions League at the expense of Manchester City, the European Super Cup as well as the Club World Cup.
