Mykolas Beck, Minister for European Affairs in the Czech government, said that Hungary’s position in relations with Russia could lead to its exit from the European Union.
In a radio interview, the minister highlighted Hungary’s position on sanctions against Russia, which differs from the positions of the rest of the EU countries: “Negotiations in the European Union are often difficult, and many countries can participate in them. But Hungary, I think, has come a long way. To the very edge of the abyss , and now she has to decide whether to get off this ledge or risk jumping on it, which I don’t want to speculate about.”
The Minister stressed that he does not rule out the possibility of Hungary leaving the European Union.
The Czech minister stressed that he plans to make every possible effort in the coming months to keep Hungary within the framework of the approved general line of European policy.
