On the sidelines of the conference, His Excellency met with His Excellency President Chan Drikapersad Santohi, President of the Republic of Suriname, His Excellency President Vavil Ramkalla Wang, President of the Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency Albert Ramdin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Suriname, His Excellency Minister of Climate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Sherri Rahman and Executive Director of the UN Environment Program of the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ms. Inger Andersen.
During the bilateral meetings, the most important topics on the agenda of the COP27 conference were considered, as well as the effective contribution and continued support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the fight against climate change at the regional and international levels, including the “Green Middle East” and “Green Saudi Arabia”, in addition to the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions through a circular carbon economy approach that contributes to the achievement of international sustainable development goals.
