His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today received the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Riyadh.
During the reception, they reviewed the strong Saudi-Pakistani relationship and how to support and strengthen it, and discussed the most important regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Thereafter, His Highness the Minister for Foreign Affairs and His Excellency the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan presided over the first meeting of the Ministerial Committee “Axis of Politics and Security” established by the Supreme Coordinating Council of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh, where the committee dealt with many political and security issues, in particular, strengthening joint coordination on issues of concern to the two countries and achieving common interests, in addition to discussing aspects of intensifying joint efforts, aimed at strengthening international peace and security.
The parties also signed the minutes of the first meeting of the ministerial committee “Politics and Security Axis”, established by the Supreme Coordinating Council of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Thereafter, His Highness the Minister for Foreign Affairs hosted a dinner in honor of His Excellency the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and his accompanying delegation.
The reception and work of the ministerial committee was attended by the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Saud al-Sati, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Nawaf al-Maliki.
