Two Saudi Arabian drivers representing the kingdom in the Jeddah Drift World Finals..today

Two drift drivers from Saudi Arabia, both from Riyadh, have each reserved a spot in the Red Bull Car Park Drift World Finals and they will compete for the title of “King of Drift” in front of Saudi fans. this evening, Thursday, after an exciting qualification at the end of the week.

The tournament starts at 20:30, tickets for the final are already on sale.

Since the launch of the series this season in Ireland, the Red Bull Car Park Drift Championship has taken place this season in a total of 18 countries, setting the stage for the widest participation in the event’s 14-year history. These elite riders will compete in intense sports competitions in Jeddah in front of an audience that loves the sport and its enthusiastic atmosphere. Champions from Jamaica, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kenya, South Africa, Poland, Estonia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan and Lebanon, as well as Saudi Arabia will take part in the competition.

For the son of the capital of Riyadh, Turki Al-Zira, attending such a major event was an important moment in his career. “I am very proud and happy to have made it to the Red Bull Car Park Drift Championship World Finals,” he said. He added: “The competition will definitely be intense as we will be up against amazing drift racers and God willing it will be a big challenge.”

Al-Zir continued: “I am optimistic that the Saudi youth will come to support us here in Jeddah and support us in achieving outstanding results.”

The prestigious global final is held in Jeddah in partnership with Saudi Motorsports Company, Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Red Bull Mobile, Nissan, Kwai App, Dunlop, Saudi Sports Channel, Blink Experience and Arab GT.

The other Saudi driver in the global final is Badr Al Shehri, who finished second in the local qualifier.

The Riyadh drifter also confirmed that he is looking forward to getting back on the track again, saying: “This is a very important moment for me and I am looking forward to taking on a huge challenge.” He added: “I started participating in the Red Bull Drift Tournament in 2010, but being in the World Final today is important for me, especially as I represent my country.”

He continued, “Of course, we all know how passionate the Saudis are about cars and speed, and I hope they can be proud of today’s world final.”
