Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his joy at the first victory with the Saudi club Al-Nasr in the Roshen League and thanked the fans for their support. Al-Nasr beat Al-Ettifaq 1-0 in a match, in Ronaldo’s first match in an Al-Nasr shirt, on Sunday at the Marsul Park stadium in Riyadh, as part of the 14th round of the Roshen League. Hilal, Al-Nasr has a match less.
Ronaldo wrote on his Instagram page: “First match, first win. Well done boys. Thank you to all the fans for the amazing support,” he said.
Ronaldo shared with his followers pictures from his first match in the Saudi Arabian League, in which he failed to score his first goals in the tournament.
His first appearance in Saudi stadiums came during a match between his team Riyadh Season and Paris Saint-Germain, during which he scored two goals against the Parisian team in a match that ended in a 5-4 victory for the latter.
Ronaldo’s first official performance with Al-Nasr was widely publicized around the world, with all newspapers running front pages of Ronaldo’s first participation and reports of the Al-Nasr match and agreement.
The Portuguese newspapers, led by Apollo, took notice of the match and focused on what Ronaldo presented, as well as the Rekord newspaper.
While English newspapers were reporting Ronaldo’s first official appearance with Al-Nasr.
The match between Al-Nasr and Al-Ettifak was also broadcast by more than 30 TV channels around the world, an unprecedented event in the Saudi Pro League.
Some newspapers also interacted with the footage presented by Ronaldo before the agreement.
