His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, today honored Ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit from the Republic of Nepal, recipient of the Isa Award for Services to Humanity at the Fifth Session (2021-2022) of the Isa Cultural Center in the capital Manama. His Majesty King Hamad said in his speech on the occasion: “We are pleased to meet you at the conclusion of the fifth session of the Isa Award for Services to Humanity, which we are eager to dedicate a fragrant biography of His Majesty Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, may God bless his soul and put him to rest in peace, and embody for his noble purposes the approach of his wise and devoted leadership, carrying the banner of goodness and peace in the name of Bahrain, and all his life he worked in the blessed footsteps of the venerable rulers of Bahrain, and the recent history of our country has inscribed for him the most bright pages of its development and historical revival.
After that, the audience watched a documentary film dedicated to the biography of Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, may God rest his soul.
Dr. Farhan Nizami, Jury Member for the Fifth Session of the Isa Prize for Services to Humanity, then delivered a speech in which he reviewed the efforts made by the Prize to facilitate this task.
This was followed by a screening of a documentary on the accomplishments of the Isa Award for Humanity Award winner, ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit from the Republic of Nepal, which talked about his humanitarian work and achievements in his field of activity.
Thereafter, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, presented the Isa Award for Services to Humanity to the ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Roit of the Republic of Nepal, the recipient of this award.
Then the ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit from the Republic of Nepal, the winner of the award, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that the Isa Award for serving humanity is a real value to the Kingdom of Bahrain for outstanding humanitarian work.
Dr. Sandock added that he has promised to perform half a million surgeries or more over the next five years, especially for those who cannot access and afford surgery.
