Ecuador has announced that it will partially suspend crude oil exports while it checks the safety of two Amazon oil pipelines after a bridge collapse. in 2022 said two wells would be shut down in stages after a bridge across the Marker River in Napo County collapsed next to two pipes.

The lines were not affected, but the company suspended some operations as a precaution. She hopes to start pumping again within a week. French said the government has declared “force majeure,” meaning the company will not be penalized for failing to meet customer requests.
