Fadael confirmed that former Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Maj. Gen. Nasser Mansour will lead the prisoner exchange on Thursday, and other prisoner exchange operations will follow between the parties. The legitimate government and the Houthis announced last month that they had reached the Swiss city of Bern, under the auspices of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to release more than 880 prisoners after a series of negotiations between them. Under the agreement, the Houthis will release 181 prisoners, including Saudis and Sudanese, in exchange for 706 detainees held by government forces. And on Saturday, Abdul Qadir al-Murtada, head of the Houthi National Committee for Prisoners Affairs, announced the arrival of 13 prisoners at Sana’a International Airport in exchange for a previously released prisoner.
