Amanda Holden, 52, shared a cheeky post to Instagram after her Britain’s Got Talent grand final dress sparked comparisons to a lamp shade from ITV viewers.

The BGT judge always dresses to impress, and the finale of the talent competition was no exception, as she stepped out in a sparkling thigh-skimming gown.

However, it wasn’t long before fans spotted that the structure of Amanda’s skirt resembled a household item.

One person tweeted: “Amanda looking like a lampshade #BGT,” as the star made her grand entrance during tonight’s show.

Another viewer compared Amanda to a retro doll toilet roll holder, commenting on Instagram: “Wardrobe did u wrong all u need is a loo roll to slip ya legs through.”

Despite the swipes about her dress, Amanda had the last laugh, as she shared a video of herself posing over a bright lightbulb behind-the-scenes.

The blonde beauty snapped her fingers as the light illuminated her skirt, proving she was in on the joke.

Amanda posed up a storm in the unique dress before taking her seat on the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, and Alesha Dixon.

She paired the gown with matching silver stilettos and wore her hair in beachy waves.

Amanda smiled proudly as she took photos with BGT finalist Olivia Lynes, 11, who she sent straight through to the semi-finals by pressing her Golden Buzzer during the auditions.

The West End singer and actress was impressed by Olivia’s “powerhouse” vocals.
