The number of unemployed people in Turkey remained unchanged in January, official the data showed on Thusday.
Unemployment rate stable at 11.4% in January, while a season adjusted measure of underutilization of main-work up 0.1 percentage point to 22.9%, said the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The measure of the underutilization of main-work was on a downward trend for many of last year after peaking at 29.6% in January 2021 under impact of measures for combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Work force participation rate fell 0.1 percentage points from the previous month to 52.6% in January, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute also show.
Unemployment rate was 10.3% for men and 13.6% for womensaid the TurkStat in A declaration.
The number of 15 year old unemployed over increased by 21,000 months-over-month in January at 3.8 millions.

Some 33.8 millions people made up work force in January, down 22,000 people of the previous month.
Youth unemployment rate in 15-24 year olds group was 21.6%, with no change from the previous month, according to the report.
