China has a unique love relationship with Russia that she could use to end Russia’s three weeks invasion of Ukraine, the United States said on Monday.

The relationship between Russia and China is “distinct from the relationship that we, or just on any other country on the planet has with Russia,” Price told reporters.

“With that, in mind, (China) could do more that probably many others countries put an end to this senseless violence, this brutality, the premeditated war of Putin of choice,” he added, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Comments come after media reports have surfaced over the weekend suggesting that Russia has reached out in China for economic and military help to strengthen son war effort in Ukraine. Russia and China have denied this information.

The price did not speak directly to the claims, which cite an anonymous US officialni the White House in his reading of Sullivan’s meeting with Yang.

The Russian War against Ukraine, which started on February 24, a drawn international condemnation, leads to financial punishments on Moscow and stimulated an exodus of global Russian companies.

At least 596 civilians were killed and 1,067 injured in Ukraine from the beginning of war, according to the United Nations. Nevertheless. he warned that the true the toll is probably a lot higher as he could not access areas of increase in hostilities.
