Major General Sultan Al Arada, a member of the Presidential Governing Council, praised the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through SDRPY to Sheba University in Marib Province.
This happened during his visit to Sheba Province University today in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Muin Abdul-Malik Saeed, who emphasized that SDRPY contributed to the development and improvement of the university’s infrastructure.
Support provided by SDRPY is provided through the Sheba Region University Development Project; To improve the efficiency of educational institutions and meet the growing need for conservative education, which has contributed to increasing opportunities for university admissions and creating a good educational environment.
The Sheba Provincial University Development Project in Marib Province includes the construction of two new buildings, including an administrative building and an academic building with 16 classrooms.
The project serves 3,129 beneficiaries as well as university students from Marib, Al Jawf, Al Bayda and displaced persons from neighboring provinces.
SDRPY support for the education sector in Marib province is coming; Raise the level of education and empowerment of young people, which will benefit their communities, and these projects are also part of the projects of the program in the province of Marib.
SDRPY projects and initiatives in Marib Governorate in the field of education include the project to establish and equip the Center for the Gifted in Marib, which consists of a model complex including (12) classrooms and several facilities, including educational computer and chemistry laboratories, administrative offices, open areas and sports grounds; To provide a suitable environment for the development of creative thinking, enable young people to excel, and develop and encourage innovation, the project will serve 1,369 beneficiaries.
SDRPY projects and initiatives in Marib Governorate include the Al Abr Road Rehabilitation Project, which is a strategic international link between governorates and contributes to reducing the risk and damage from road deterioration, as well as improving efficiency and facilitating the safe movement of people and goods.
SDRPY is supporting the health sector in Ma’rib Province through several medical projects, including: supporting Qara General Hospital by providing (24) medical devices and supporting 26 September Hospital by providing (27) medical devices, and supporting Ma’ rib General Hospital by providing (13) medical devices, in addition to supporting these hospitals with three fully equipped ambulances; Improve the efficiency of medical services in the province, speed up emergency response, expand access to treatment, and facilitate access to medical services.
The program projects in Marib province also include supporting the water sector through a project to drill eight wells with all their equipment, including solar powered pumps, a network and 10,000 liter water tanks; Provide fresh, clean and safe water to the province, as well as a project to improve the efficiency of water transport by providing tanks for transporting safe and fresh water to people, displaced people and populations without drinking water, and a project to provide solar lighting for a number of roads in province because of its high efficiency and sustainability, and serve the people of the province directly in their daily movements, as well as other development projects and initiatives and environmental sanitation activities.
SDRPY projects and initiatives include the Saba Economic Empowerment Program in partnership with the Marib Girls Foundation, which aims to train and improve the skills of 60 women entrepreneurs in their daily lives.
These educational projects are among the (224) development projects and initiatives implemented by SDRPY in various governorates of Yemen to serve Yemeni brothers in (7) key sectors, namely: education, health, water, energy, transport, agriculture and fisheries, and also construction. capacity of government institutions; and development programs.
