Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued decisions according to which the Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration, Lt. Gen. Munwar Osman Naqd, and the Deputy Chief of Staff for Training, Lt. Gen. Abdullah al-Bashir Ahmed al-Sadiq was promoted to first lieutenant general and they were dismissed and retired with a pension.
The release of the commander of the Land Forces, Lieutenant General Essam Muhammad Hassan Karrar and his retirement with a pension, as well as the promotion of Major General Ahmed Omar Shannan to the rank of Lieutenant General and his retirement with a pension.
The decisions included raising the command rank as follows:
Major General Rashad Abdul Hamid Ismail and his appointment as Commander of the Land Forces, Major General Abdul Mahmoud Hammad Hussein Ajami, Major General Nasr al-Din Abdul Qayyum Ahmed Ali and Major General Mubarak Koti Kajur Kmtor and his appointment as Inspector General of the Armed Forces.
He also issued a decision to reorganize the Chief of Staff as follows:
Lieutenant General Muhammad Osman Al-Hussein Al-Hassan, Chief of Staff.
Lieutenant General Magdi Ibrahim Osman Khalil, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics.
Lieutenant General Khaled Abdin Muhammad Ahmad Al Shami as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations.
Lieutenant General Abbas Hassan Abbas Al-Daruti, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Administration.
Lieutenant General Abdul-Mahmoud Hammad Hussain Ajami, Deputy Chief of Staff for Training.
