The Ministry of Sports, represented by the General Directorate of Club Affairs, yesterday released the administrative classification of sports clubs for the 2022-2023 sports season, based on the results of the club assessment in the department’s initiative for the last sports season 2021-2021. 2022, from the first quarter to the fourth.
According to what was announced by the Ministry on November 8, 2021, clubs have been classified into (6) categories based on the results they received in the management initiative at the end of the last sports season, with the aim of improving the level of work management and increasing the rewards provided to clubs, without taking into account the degree of the club at the level of the first football team, provided that this mechanism continues to operate at the end of each sports season, in accordance with the approved conditions.
The administrative classification of sports clubs for the next season is as follows:
First / Category (A):
The clubs included: Al-Hilal, Al-Shabaab, Al-Ittifaq after they managed to score 6 out of 7 or more on each of the five criteria adopted in the Management Initiative (strategy and leadership – management and operation – commitment, control and supervision – financial management – marketing activities and events) last season, where clubs in this category will receive an amount of (28) million rials if they reach the required criteria for the next sports season.
Second / Category (B):
The clubs included: Al Nasr, Al Fatah, Al Taawun, Al Hazm, Al Faiha and Al Faisali after managing to average 6 out of 7 points or more out of a total of five criteria approved in the Governance Initiative, where these clubs will receive an amount of (23) million rials in the new season if you meet the required criteria.
Third / Category (C):
It included clubs: Al-Batin, Al-Tai, Al-Ittihad, Al-Raed, Damak, Abha, Al-Ahly, Al-Qadisiya, ” Al Khalij, Al Adala, Al Wahda, Riyadh, after achieving an average rating of 5 out of 7 or more of the general criteria, and you will receive an amount of (20) million riyals if the standards are met next season.
Fourth / Category (D):
It included clubs: Al-Oruba, Al-Jil, Al-Diriya, Al-Sahel, Al-Kholud, Al-Nahda, Hajar, Al-Bukayria and “C”, scoring an average of 4 points out of 7 or more, from the general criteria, and you will receive an amount of (2.5) million riyals if you manage to meet the criteria.
Fifth / Category (E):
The clubs included: Uhud, Mudar, Al-Ain, Al-Jabalin, Al-Shula, Al-Kawkab, Al-Uhdud, Jeddah, Najran, Al-Saqr, Al-Qaisuma, Al-Takba, Al-Tarji, Al – Takdud, Al-Nujum, Al-Zulfi, Al-Tasm, Afif, Al-Intisar, Al-Jandal, Tuvaik, Al-Zahab, Al-Nairiya, Al-Liva, Al-Najma, Arar, Al-Rayyan, Al -Safa, Al Rawda, Al Ansar, Al Salam, where you must enter this category by scoring less than 4 out of 7 general criteria on average last season or by meeting the conditions for entry into management. Initiative, while these clubs will receive the support of the initiative set by the management in the amount of (1) million riyals if they manage to reach the required standards.
Sixth / Category (F):
It includes the remaining 109 clubs that were unable to provide financial support to the Club Governance Initiative due to their failure to meet the conditions required to join, and clubs in this category will not receive any monies, but will receive ongoing seminars and training in preparation for exit. to the highest category of the season 2023-2024.
The launch of this project is an attempt by the Ministry of Sports to support clubs in establishing governance-based organizations and contribute to their financial and administrative stability, as well as to increase the number of clubs participating in the governance program. In order to enhance its sporting resilience, which contributes to the achievement of stability, and the expansion of funds for its development with high professionalism.
