Al-Hilal will play Kuwait’s Qadsia team on September 25 in the retirement match of Kuwait national team goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Ghamdi.
Al-Hilal’s official Twitter account has confirmed that goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Khalidi’s retirement match will take place on the evening of September 25 next year at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait.
Nawaf Al-Khalidi, 41, is considered one of the players known for his great love and affection for the Al-Hilal club, and this is evident from his tweets on Twitter and his statements to the media.
Al-Khalidi has not appeared in stadiums since 2018, but he did not set up a farewell match despite insisting on Al-Hilal’s presence at his retirement festival to secure it for himself.
Al-Khalidi praised the position of Al-Hilal President Fahd bin Nafel, as well as Fahd al-Mafraj and Yasser al-Qahtani, expressing his joy at the fulfillment of his long-awaited wish.
Al-Khalidi is one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the Kuwait national team and SC Al-Qadisiyah, won the best goalkeeper award at the 2010 Arabian Gulf Cup. He was also the main goalkeeper at the Gulf 20 in Yemen when Al-Azraq was crowned with this title.
